About Us All.Star.Cachets was founded by myself, Steve Murray, in the fall of 2007. I have been a stamp collector for 35+ years and the hobby is more exciting to me now than ever before. For the most part, my stamp collecting has been focused on United States stamps, including both mint and used. In recent years, I have become more interested in collecting first day covers and now, creating my own covers. First priority for me is creating covers for my own collection. Most of my stamp issue covers are created in low quantity and many different designs. My definition of low quantity is only 3-5 copies to sell. I am also very concerned with quality as well. My covers are created in several different formats including color & monochrome laser-printed, photo-ink jet printed, and soon to include hand-painted. I use mainly premium and high resolution paper to get rich vibrant color and detail. At this time, my covers are limited to only certain issues per year, but some day, I may create covers for all US stamp issues. My career background has lended itself very well to my stamp collecting. I have used a computer for over 25 years and I taught computer technology for over 14 years with specialization in graphic design and desktop publishing. Prior to creating covers, I designed my own albums and album pages for stamps and covers. I like to specialize my collection with Legends of Hollywood, Disney, Chinese New Year, Nature of America, Marvel/DC Comics, Nature/Landscape scenes, Looney Tunes, etc. I have often expressed that my style of stamp collecting is very similar to scrapbooking, because my album pages will contain borders, headers, footers, and pictures related to the stamps and covers for that page.
